Tanks

Large capacity tanks are produced in a separate line. In this production line, parts and mountings Including the plates dished ends, sockets, valves and fittings, are sourced externally the process begins with the shearing and rolling of plates into the main cylindrical shells. The longitudinal seams are welded and dished ends beaded. Socket holes are cut into the shells and the socket welded. The dished ends are mated and welded onto the shells. Accessories are welded prior to radiographic examinations of all main welds carried out. With this stage,

the tanks are complete except for their valves After hydro-testing, the tank surfaces are thoroughly cleaned by shot-blasting. They are then metallized and painted. When dry, the tanks are ready for the final stage of valve fitting and testing for tightness. Tank design, production, testing and inspection procedures conform to Saudi Standards for the storage and transportation of LP Gases. Furthermore, the manufacturing process conforms to the Technical Rules for Pressure Vessels Manufacture as set out by SASO EN 12542
